Finance and Human Rights

25th July 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The International Development Law Unit (IDLU), Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria and the Institute for Economic Justice (IEJ) invite you to participate in the third dialogue of our workshop series “Finance and Human Rights”. This workshop series brings together academics, activists, business people and practitioners in the fields of human rights, finance and economics to explore the manner in which a human rights framework can help to evaluate the nature and functioning of the financial system.

The third dialogue “Access to Housing Finance and the Right to Housing” will explore the differentiated and unequal integration of households into the financial sector, particularly with regards to access to housing finance and how the dynamics of financial markets impact the realisation of the right to housing.

The details of the dialogue are as follows:

Time: 17h30 for 18h00 to 20h30

Dinner will be served at 17h30

Venue: Wits University (TBC)
