Launch of the ‘Mining Bodies’ exhibition and panel discussion

Dear Valued Stakeholder

The Nelson Mandela Foundation and Breathe Films, with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation invite you to the launch of the ‘Mining Bodies’ exhibition, which will be followed by a panel discussion.

 Panellists:

Dr Asanda Benya – Sociology Dept UCT, Specialist in mining and activist

Mr  Nikisi Lesufi – Minerals Council’s Senior Executive: Health, Environment and Legacies

Mr David van Wyk – Benchmarks Foundation

Ms Catherine Meyburgh – Breathe Films

Mr Richard Pakleppa – Breathe films

An audio-visual installation, reflecting on the impact of mining and inviting viewers to share their thoughts on how the sector can be transformed. Aiming to end a tragic legacy of great harm to miners, the environment and communities across Southern Africa.

The exhibition will be followed by a panel discussion and a light dinner.
